|The Tramlines Festival is gearing up for an exciting 2026 edition, set to take place in Hillsborough Park, Sheffield, from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July. This year, festival-goers can look forward to a fantastic mix of music, comedy, and family-friendly activities, with the newly revealed stage splits adding to the anticipation.

Exciting Line-Up for 2026
Tramlines is known for its diverse line-up, featuring both big-name acts and local talent. The recent announcement has fans buzzing, as it outlines how the weekend will unfold across the park. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the headliners:
Friday: Fatboy Slim, Kaiser Chiefs, and The Vaccines
Saturday: Courteeners, Blossoms, and Rick Astley
Sunday: Wolf Alice, Wet Leg, and Reverend and the Makers
In addition to these headliners, the festival will showcase a range of artists across multiple stages, including comedy performances from well-loved names like Reginald D Hunter and Ross Noble.
Into the Trees Family Area
This year, Tramlines is making a special effort to cater to families. The festival's Into the Trees area has become a beloved feature, offering a safe and engaging space for children and parents alike. Timm Cleasby, the Operations Director at Tramlines, emphasised the importance of accommodating families: “We know how many families come to Tramlines now, and that’s something we’ve embraced over the years.”
The family area will host a variety of activities, including:
Interactive learning sessions with Taskmaster Education
Hands-on science experiences from Amazelab
Live performances from SDK Dance Crew
New for this year, the first few acts each day on The Library stage will be family-focused, hosted by Molly from Molly Kids TV. This programming will mix interactive learning, performances, and open-ended play. The area will also feature arts and crafts, circus workshops, and even bubble displays, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Practical Amenities for Families
Recognising that families need more than just entertainment, Tramlines has put a lot of thought into practical facilities. These include dedicated nursing areas and baby-changing facilities, making it easier for families to enjoy the festival without stress. Cleasby stated, “Those details, alongside the stage splits, really matter when you’re planning a full day or weekend here as a family.”
Ticket Information
Tickets for Tramlines 2026 are in high demand, with both Friday and Saturday now sold out. However, final tier weekend tickets, which allow access to all three days, are still available but running low. Sunday tickets also remain on sale for those wanting to catch the festival's closing day.
Families can purchase kids' weekend and Sunday tickets, and there are payment plan options available for those who need it. More details can be found on the Tramlines website.
What Makes Tramlines Special?
Tramlines Festival has established itself as one of the UK’s largest and longest-running inner-city greenfield music festivals. Known for its blend of major headliners, local talent, and community programming, it has become a staple of the summer calendar. With each passing year, the festival continues to grow and evolve, ensuring it remains an exciting destination for music lovers and families alike.
As the festival approaches, anticipation is building. With a line-up that promises to entertain, a family area designed for fun and learning, and practical amenities to support parents, Tramlines 2026 is shaping up to be an unforgettable event.
