I visited Sheffield for a work event and chose to park at Hartshead Square Car Park as it was conveniently close to my hotel and right in the heart of the city centre, just a short walk from the shops and restaurants. When I arrived, I wasn’t entirely sure how to pay for my parking, but two on-site security guards were incredibly helpful(sorry didnt catch names but one had a scottish accent- made me feel right at home). They clearly explained the process and, after I mentioned I’d be parked for two days, they recommended downloading the NCP app, which made everything much easier. Both team members were friendly, approachable, and genuinely happy to help. It might just be a car park, but their excellent service really lifted my spirits after a long drive. Highly recommended!
I haven’t always had great experiences in NPC car parks they can feel quite intimidating, especially after dark. But I travelled for an event last week in Sheffield I noticed they have a visible security team, and I felt so much safer knowing someone was around. It wasn’t just about protecting the car; even when paying for my ticket, I didn’t feel like I had to constantly look over my shoulder. The stairwells were clear too, with no unexpected surprises and it seems they’ve found a way to prevent undesirable hanging around. I often travel with my daughter, and although I wasn’t with her this time, last week’s experience made me feel more confident about parking there in the future. Considering it was only 4 pm and already pitch black outside, it was reassuring to feel that bit safer.
Reasonable car park, nothing special, never had an issue finding a space but the spaces are quite tight and minimal room to manoeuvre on the road. Not the cheapest but handy for where I usually want to be in Sheffield and they offer some discounts which can make it more affordable
