Firstly I'm reviewing British Business Bank on the end of an agreement I had with them. The initial process including application, making my payments and doing the 5 year term was faultless. The problem came at the end of the agreement. After I made my final payment on a 5 year fixed repayment loan I received a nasty threatening letter that I had underpaid the loan by £9.65 (nine pounds sixty five pence) I immediately called them and the person who answered could not tell me why this has occurred. I then filed a complaint and remarkably a MP replied from the house of commons saying he was looking into it. That was August 4 months ago and the letters have stopped and no response from the MP. I am assuming that this erroneous £9.65 has gone away. What comes to mind is what was that charge, was it legitimate, was it a money making scam hitting all loans that were ending with a fee to make money? Something fishy is going on here. Imagine this was an intentional scam, its a small amount of money, I can imagine that many people would just pay it, after all its only £9.65.
Waste of tax payer money. They back losers and dismiss excellent potential businesses because they seem to know too much. 'How can anyone with a solid stream of orders be a new business' they ask themselves. They dismissed my business because I worked for a similar company that had gone out of business. Then there is the process. Anyone with a functioning business won't have the same cashflow requirements over a month after they apply for a loan. By the time they told me I'd wasted my time applying, I'd given up on getting a loan from them. Once again they're there to back losers. It's bounce back loans all over again.
Took more than 3 weeks with one communication a day. Once I gave them a deadline they claimed they could meet, all communication stopped. Government need to look at this
Absolutely shocking customer service, spoke to Felibe who immediately spoke with a prejudice attitude, barely any english out of the lad, why employ people who can not even speak properly or have basic customer service training? We PAY THE TAX !! Used to be a great company this and really is a shame, its gone to waste. avoid if you can
The initial process was good… but the waiting process and unknowing if your application was being processed has completely messed up my whole business plan because it took so long for the money to come through!! Would never use again!
