Santander

This has been the worst banking experience I’ve ever had. Nothing can be resolved over the phone — every time I call, I’m told to go back into the branch again. Even though I already went in once and they checked my passport and driving licence, they still asked me to bring them again and reapply from scratch. I can’t make any changes to my personal details, and the staff offered no helpful solution. Extremely frustrating and completely unnecessary. I’m very disappointed with Santander and would not recommend them.

Honestly, hands down the worst bank ever! Doesn't even deserve a star!! The staff here clearly need a lesson on customers with dementia and how to deal with them! Made my mum - who had full Power of attorney over my dad - feel like a criminal! Called the police saying they had 'safeguarding concerns'. We were cleared by the police, obviously, so tried to get mum's card and online banking unblocked, ONLY to find out, that at my dad's request (despite him been diagnosed as lacking mental capacity to make his own decisions), they have revoked mum's POA on the account!!!! Innocent until proven guilty?? I think not!! The dirty looks and the manner of all the staff in this bank is disgusting!! Having one of them even say to us 'but you're not his real daughter are you?' is truly unforgivable! This matter WILL be taken further and hope the staff there get the lessons they need in customer care!

Amazing service, I didnt catch the gentlemen’s name but I came in at around 12pm and I had an issue with my overdraft on my graduate account. He was so lovely and very reassuring and very understanding of my silly questions! 10/10 customer service!!

Had to visit the one branch we have in Sheffield to use the machine to deposit money. Machine ate the money, message on screen said something about a hardware failure and then didn’t deposit into our account. Worrying thing is, there was no indication on the machine afterwards to alert others of the issue. And what’s with the stupid opening hours? They might work if there were more branches available but not with just the single branch. We’re moving bank as well. These clowns are getting worse

Not a good bank. Too much of a push towards online banking and a cashless society in my opinion. They are only open from 10am-3pm most days and there is only one branch left in the city centre. I do not feel safe using this bank as i am concerned about access to cash and struggling to use digital online banking with unreasonable strings attatched.
