Sad to have to write this, but the duty of care, poor communication and terrible automated system when calling have led me to this. I had my bloods tested a couple of weeks ago. 2 days after I received a call saying I needed a consultation. I was told I would receive this via a call the following Wednesday between 10-12. This call never happened, and after trying to use their calling system and getting the run around, I decided to drop by the site. I was then told I had an appointment scheduled on a Thursday morning in 2 weeks time. I explained this is pretty poor when naturally a bit of anxiety is caused due to being told a clinician needs to discuss some results with you. Due to this, they arranged for me to have a telephone appointment this morning between 10-12 (again). Again, I didn’t received the call. It’s now 2 weeks since the initial appointment and I still don’t know what the health issue is. I’m sincerely hoping nothing serious. *on an additional note, both the nurse and doctor I saw on the 14th Nov were great, however, the lack of communication or following through with calls, plus the anxiety caused, is a very, very poor of service.

Absolutely fantastic GP Practice. 100% highly recommend. From the receptionists, admin team, nurse (Nicky) and the GPs they are all outstanding. They are professional, well mannered and so kind and I have always been treated with dignity and respect. The website is super easy to navigate, appointments extremely easy to book and this practice actually cares about its patients and puts patients first. Thank you for everything. I truly appreciate the incredible care you have given to me.

I wouldn’t go here ever again due to the fact you don’t get listened to and they don’t understand you can’t just keep honestly calling off work to come to the gp and then get told you’re fine but then you say it again and you finally get somewhere but when I’m in pain and asking for help I get referred to a. Different doctors and I just don’t feel like I trusted their advice as every time they say stuff it’s something different when other doctors are telling me it’s just a shame because the receptionist seem lovely it really is just a shame to feel let down by a gp

I transferred to Carrfield Medical Centre a few months ago as the one I used to go to for many years was crap (Mathews Practice). I'm really glad I did and only wish I'd done it sooner. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the doctor's don't patronise you, unlike Mathews docs who talk down to you. An example.... I have been a carer for my disabled wife for many years and when she started with Alzheimer's she started passing blood from her rectum. I contacted Mathews (Dr Chessy) and he said, I quote, 'you're a terrible carer because you should have phoned 999 instead'. He offered no assistance whatsoever. Besides me being in a state of panic about my wife's health I was scared of him reporting me to the authorities with his opinion of me being a bad carer and losing carer's allowance. If you want a truly professional service (staff, docs and nurses) then stay clear of Mathews Practice and go for Carrfield Centre instead, you won't be disappointed. The staff, doctors and nurses at Carrfield really look after you in your hour of need...... Phil Sturman

Said they phoned me to push back an appointment. But never phoned me or communicated via text/email. Will cause impact to my treatment.
