I am appalled by Dr Catherine Nagel's conduct. During my appointment she declined to give me sleeping pills, lied and later changed my medical record after I posted a review. I removed the review when I realized it was not favorable to her but her changes went unnoticed raising significant concerns about transparency and professionalism. I took the step of documenting what she wrote on my records with a screenshot after facing similar problems with a dentist before where records were inaccurately altered. This screenshot acts as proof to back my claims especially since I have been diagnosed with bpd which might cause my concerns to be overlooked. Dr Nagel's actions particularly the false details in my records seemed aimed at hindering other healthcare providers from helping me with my sleep issues. This looks like retaliation because I hung up on her while she was talking. I find her questioning whether I was involved in gangs or had debts to be both unprofessional and inappropriate for someone in healthcare. There are still some lies she has written in my records, What I actually said was I just needed something to help me sleep and how I used most of my temazepam tablets to go to the dentist which of course weren’t recorded on my record. Her actions have significantly affected my mental health leading me to seek private healthcare options for the help I need. Sadly I feel I must endure this situation quietly until I can see a psychiatrist. I hope my experience can lead to a review of Dr Nagel's practices to ensure that patients receive the care and respect they deserve. I made a complaint on the 2nd August and I’m still yet to hear back from them 12 weeks later, no one cares about the fact that there are still multiple lies in my medical records. The discriminatory GMC also don’t care about the fact she has lied multiple times in my records and then changed them when I left a review to try make me look like I’m mentally unstable. I’m sure if both of our names were the other way around they would have took action. They seem to have time to only persecute ethical doctors. I have now had to escalate this to the ICO to try get her lies removed from my records. This is how Dr Nagel treats her vulnerable patients, I can only hope no one with mental health problems ever has to speak to someone as prejudiced as you. Ive already had to miss my annual health check ups as I no longer feel comfortable coming here now. I have been a patient at Pitsmoor Surgery most of my life now thanks to her I have to change my dr as I no longer feel comfortable with her having access to any of my medical information.
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the same-day booking system currently in place at the practice. The current model, which restricts telephone queues to a maximum of 15 callers, is not fit for purpose and is preventing patients from accessing necessary care. Despite making over 50 calls across three consecutive days, I was unable to secure an appointment. On the rare occasions when I did manage to get through, I was informed that no appointments were available and received contradicting information. The lack of assistance and guidance from both the GP service and the reception team has been deeply frustrating. We have been offered no practical solutions, and the quality of communication has been poor. I am both appalled and shocked by the current level of care and the system’s failure to meet even basic patient needs. This situation is unacceptable and requires urgent review to ensure that patients are able to access timely and essential services without unnecessary distress. From reading many of the other reviews, other patients are of the same opinion. Why have concerns not been addressed? Why hasn't anyone raised this with the local Integrated Care Board (ICB) or Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.
Worst accessible GP I have came across in my all 15 yrs in UK. Bang on at 8.30 when lines open, there are already 15 people in queue even if you call at 8.31 and system cuts you off. Absolute ridiculous. Surely they cant be allowed to keep operating like this with poor access for the community, relevant authorities must be informed.
I have been diligently attempting to schedule an appointment over the past two weeks, consistently calling at 8:30 AM each morning. Unfortunately, I am consistently greeted by an automated message informing me that I am caller number 16, and that all appointments are already booked, with a capacity limit of 15. Even when I am among the first callers, such as number 14, I still receive the same message: "We are at full capacity, please call again," followed by the call disconnecting. There is no option to speak with a receptionist, nor is there a waiting list available. I am left wondering how this system is intended to assist patients. I also question whether there are any staff members working at this general practice. If doctors are present, I am unsure of their activities, as patients are not being seen. It feels as though they are being compensated without providing actual care. This situation is profoundly disheartening, particularly for those of us who depend on this practice for vital healthcare services. I believe it is imperative that this general practice reevaluates its appointment management procedures. Patients deserve a more effective system.
I can’t believe this is happening at Pitsmoor Surgery. For over 8months my wife have been calling to book appointment to see the GP and not successful. Our previous GP was not like this at all. Working two days you are able to book appointments why is your process so frustrating. Please fix this urgently as people are stranded . They need access to good healthcare . Hillary
