It worked OK, but quite expensive really compared to others we have used. Worst part is a standard car was parked not charging in the spot that we needed really so had to struggle and turn around in a busy McDonald's. Got the app working afterwards and seems a better option than just paying at the charger
No good if the port on your car is at the back, the cable then won’t reach or you’ll have to do a 100 point turn in a tiny McDonald’s 1 way system car park. £30 reserve fee on card to start charging is a ridiculous amount.
Terrible location, set up to drive in forwards as part of a one way system. but many EV’s have charge port at the rear. Eventually got in the bay after about a 20 point turn only to find that the charger will not initiate a charge despite pre authorising a £30 deduction - come on InstaVolt, real let down.
Doesn’t accept contactless card, so impossible to charge. Insavolt have gone from leaders to losers. Never ever again.
Had to reverse park which is usually okay but these bays are at the wrong angle for it, cable so stiff I had to wrestle it into place, and then card and app charging wouldn't work. Helpline picked up fast but couldn't do anything remotely to help. Please update this station!
