John Heath and Sons excel at what they do in every way; they are quite simply the best undertaker in Sheffield and as a city we are so very lucky to have them. They treat clients with the utmost dignity and professionalism at all times and they are always on hand to deal with any questions or concerns. I contacted Adam at John Heath and Sons after my father passed away. It was obviously a difficult time and I needed help on how to make all the necessary arrangements in an unfamiliar and rather overwhelming situation. Adam immediately provided expert, professional, yet caring advice and support and guided me and my family through every step. Everyone at John Heath and Sons, from the staff in the office to those attending in person, helped to ensure that we were able to give Dad a fitting and dignified funeral. Beyond the practical decisions about the casket and booking the crematorium, the exceptional team from Heath's guided us on everything from the music to the catering, the order of service, the flowers and even helping to organise a video stream of the service for those unable to be there in person. To Adam, the staff at Pitsmoor John Heath and the staff who attended to my family at my dear sisters funeral I would like to offer the most sincere gratitude and thanks for being so supportive, professional and caring and for giving us a beautiful service with everything we had asked for and more. We can highly recommend John Heath and Son’s, we needed a great deal of help due to the circumstances relating to the sad loss of my mum, not only were they compassionate, they also offered expert advice and made the necessary arrangements allowing us to grieve. All the funeral arrangements were dealt with by Adam and Felicity Heath who visited us at home to make sure everything was done to our requirements. They went through everything in detail and listened to our wishes and made suggestions to make the funeral service exactly what mum wanted. First Class service from beginning to end. Our family initially used John Heath in 2007 to handle the funeral arrangements for a family member and the service then was excellent so we decided to use them again in 2021 for the passing of my late mother. Fourteen years later the service was even better and went beyond our expectations, on our initial call to use John Heath for my mother’s funeral we were greeted with an overwhelming sense of professionalism of the highest order wrapped in a blanket of warmth and sensitivity which put us all at ease immediately. Our contact Christopher was extremely warm-hearted and showed a great level of proficiency when it came to taking on board our wants and needs to make sure our mother got the best funeral possible, his expertise was above board making many of the main arrangements within 48 hours of our call first call and guiding us through the processes needed when dealing with the passing of a loved one. When our mother’s body arrived at their lovely classic premises every detail we requested was managed and taken care of. She was laid in state in their main service chapel several days before the day of her funeral which was a beautiful touch that made the entire process extremely special and memorable as it allowed us all to visit her for the last time before she was taken to her final resting place. On the day of the funeral the service John Heath provided was perfect we requested a horse drawn hearse for the day and their funeral director and staff were there at every step of the way showing an outstanding level of devotion and dedication to their roles, from the family home to the church then to the cemetery every detail was handled to a first-class level of service.
