My daughter and I found Wood Funeral services to be warm and friendly and efficient . Jo gently guided us so that the funeral we put together was a celebration of my husbands life from the choice of music to finding a celebrant who was responsive to our wishes to choosing a coffin and flowers ( bright red ) to sorting out a route for the hearse and funeral car to retrace the road on which he had lived for more than 40 years. And putting together an order of service to include many of our favourite photographs . We ended up with a funeral to look back on with affection- a real send off for my much loved husband .

Just wanted to say how wonderful and caring Wood Funeral directors are. Louise is so compassionate , empathetic and professional. She truly could not do enough to help us a family through a very difficult time. She is such a lovely kind caring lady. I would not hesitate to recommend. Five star service. Also a big thank you to the extremely smart professional drivers who helped so much on the day.

Many thanks to Jo for her help organising my dad's funeral, you made the decision making as straightforward as possible. Orders of service prepared by you were really lovely, great recommendations for florist and celebrant so we didn't need to do any running around. On the day, the cars were incredibly smart, punctual, and driver and staff very polite and helpful, gently and quietly directing people to where they needed to be. Deborah at Woods funeral service looked after us so well with my mum's funeral it was a no brainer to go back. I was right, we were welcomed with friendly compassion whilst remaining professional. Deborah pulled up mums funeral details so we had a base to work from but with her help and step by step guidance we tailored a funeral that I know dad would be happy with but also beautifully personal from a family point of view. Deborah also recommended a celebrant Katie who after a morning chatting got us perfectly and people are still commenting what a wonderful service it was. At the most difficult time in your life organising a funeral for your loved one it is of utmost importance you go with the best. Woods entire staff are professional, kind, caring, nothing was too much trouble for Jo and Louise. I felt reassured that everything was in hand as they were responsive and diligent. Our Celebrant Ben Oliver was just simply the best. He delivered the service with humanity warmth and compassion. Perfect in every way.
