Brilliant! I was seen in Restorative Dentistry and can't speak highly enough of my experience. I was seen by an obviously highly-skilled and experienced team with first class communication skills. Furthermore I was afforded sufficient time to take in what was being said and to ask any questions that had occurred to me. Excellent!
No bad wait times, amazing service from a fantastic set of students, absoloute set of credit to themselves. They give a great free service to those who cant afford dental care or those who simply need emergency treatment. I have felt so cared for from start to finish. It is very organised with appointments no delays whatsoever
I attended the clinic and explained that I was experiencing pain on the right side of my jaw. The student conducted an examination, and I also spoke with the professor. However, the professor only requested an x-ray for one tooth, despite my concerns about the pain being more widespread. When I questioned why only one tooth was examined, the professor became verbally aggressive and dismissive. I would have expected a more thorough approach, such as an x-ray of the full left side of my jaw to properly identify the cause of the issue. Given the difficulty in accessing an NHS dentist, with waiting lists often extending over a year, I also mentioned how challenging it is to find care. The professor responded by saying he knew of dentists accepting NHS patients, but he failed to offer any specific recommendations or useful contact details. While I understand that the service is free, I was left feeling not only ignored but also mistreated. The overall attitude and lack of assistance were disappointing.
Had two top wisdom teeth out with a female dentist and two lovely nurses. The process itself was quite unpleasant, with a lot more force needed to get one out than expected. That said, one held my hand from the start, they were all really reassuring and kept me informed with what was happening from start to finish. Tooth extractions are never going to be nice, but these ladies made all the difference.
I had been referred to CCDH for an extraction as I have a bone disorder and needed to be in a hospital environment. I saw Paul Lugeric and his nurse Hordan in DPU, they explained what will happen and why. They were very considerate and made sure I fully understood the procedure and I needed antibiotic cover. I had a problem getting the prescription filled so rang the number Jordan gave me, the problem was sorted and the meds delivered from RHH. A couple of weeks later I attended Oral Surgery at CCDH and saw Murtz (nickname) a senior specialist registrar and again the nurse was Jordan and also Lyndsey. Again, they were all brilliant. I was really nervous of the injection but they put me at ease and the injection wasn’t as bad as I thought and the extraction was done very quickly, followed by sutures. A couple minutes later I was checked and the bleeding had stopped. I was sent home with info for aftercare. I go back in a few weeks for a post surgery review. All in all it was a positive experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the staff in Oral Surgery and DPU. Thanks again to all concerned with my treatment. Your care was amazing.
