Northern General: Bev Stokes Day Unit

I have nothing but praise for all the staff who I came into contact with at the unit, from the welcoming reception staff, through to the nursing and medical/ surgical team. Made welcome, reassured and treated really well. Communication was excellent. Treatment and care second to none. Indebted to them.

I had a surgery on 31st October, which was only this morning, and I am still in disbelief to how amazing they all were! All the staff, every single person was absolutely fantastic, friendly and caring, chatting and joking to put you at ease, nothing was too much trouble. It was my first ever op and an anesthesiologist (called Ben) was very reassuring, and then in the anesthesia room kept asking questions about my work to try and distract me, which definitely took my attention away from what was happening in the room. The staff know exactly what they're doing, it all works like a clockwork. And they all have smile on their face! I can't praise them enough. So, so impressed with the whole experience.. Thank you!

I had surgery on 28th February 2024. The staff were amazing, the full experience of everyone, the staff from reception, the nurses, anaesthetist and the surgeon were unreal. The staff deserve the world and no pay is enough for what they do! Thank you very much for your help and support.

Had surgery on 20th June. The staff were amazing, the full experience even though the surgery wasn’t pleasant, the staff from reception, the nurses, anaesthetist and the surgeon were unreal. The staff deserve the world and no pay is enough for what they do! I just wish the government appreciated them as much as the patients do and pay them to suit. Cannot praise them all enough. Thank you.

I had surgery at the Beverly stokes wing on the 30th of January and the treatment that I received was second to none. I was made extremely relaxed and couldn’t wish for a better service from anyone involved on the day, the Beverly stokes wing is like a whole different hospital to the rest of the northern general hospital. I would like thank all the staff including nurses/anaesthetist and surgeons for The best experience I have received at the hospital. Keep up the good work. Mark ward.
