Westfield Health

Very poor experience, Westfield delayed the payment of claims and had to be constantly chased up. Attempted to contact them several times but had no response from emails and I was repeatedly unable to get through on the phone. With no explanation, they asked for a referral form from a dr before I was able to continue claiming. This was duly obtained but they then ignored it and I had to chase it up again. A complaint has now been submitted to the ombudsman.

I get Westfield Health cover through my employer and every time I’ve submitted a claim for either dental care, opticians or chiropody, they have been fantastic. Such a simple system with a speedy repayment time! So handy to have this service in my back pocket! Thank you Westfield Health 🙏🏻

My claim for physiotherapy was refused. They said the physiotherapist must be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (which they are), but they rejected it because the term “massage” was included in the treatment description. Interestingly, they had previously accepted a claim from the same clinic and even from the same practitioner. I’m really disappointed with this decision. If you plan to make a claim, I strongly recommend contacting them first to confirm they will accept it. It seems like they may be having financial difficulties.

I called Westfield Health and spoke with customer service. I mentioned that I was visiting a chiropractic clinic and asked if I could get any money back. They confirmed I could, so I completed the paperwork and paid £40 for a doctor to fill out two pages. However, I was later informed that Westfield Health would not cover the claim because I had started my treatment before my claim was submitted. Essentially, I feel I was misled. As a result, I have decided to cancel my account.

Joined their Level 2 cover which covers chiropractic, dental, and a few other benefits after a work colleague recommended them. It took 3 to 4 weeks to get consent and medical form back from doctors, which cost £25. (Unable to get this back!). Put claims in and they cancelled them and told me I couldn't claim for them, even though their own site specifically said i could claim for what i needed. They then changed their goal posts and added 3 extra stipulations to the policy making it absolutely impossible and utterly worthless for me to stay with them! I cancelled the policy immediately, but only got one month fee back as they kept the other during application processing. They con you to get business from you, then only pay up when they feel like it. My advice is to stay well and truly clear as their site is a contradiction. Don't touch them with a barge pole and take your business elsewhere!
