Darnall Pharmacy

I needed a prescription urgently today. This was the sixth pharmacy I contacted, none had the items in stock some offered to order but this was the only one that offered to order it and get it for me the same day. The staff went to great lengths trying different suppliers and certainly went the extra mile. The service was excellent. I got my items, but would have been happy with them if not because at least they were willing to try. Very pleased, I would give a ten star review if possible. Many thanks

Did not feel safe while ordering through the intercom at 8.45pm. although the pharmacist was on point and service was fine, they didn't have much of a selection of general meds for infants! Went to the petrol station across the street for some gaviscon :D Edit: After reply: Sure, I'll give you an extra star, but please stock up on infant stuff. Having seen the same kind of thing at the petrol station, big perspex shield between cashier and payee, I totally get why youd want to serve over intercom at this time of night.

Been with darnall pharmacy for a few months now, the staff and delivery person are absolutely brilliant, helpful and thoughtful and very approachable. Would definitely recommend.

Rang the pharmacy beforehand to ask if they offer something for free as I’m in a low income household and have a 6 month old child. Was told by a woman that they did offer it for free to some people but she wasn’t sure who. I asked her if she could go and find out who gets it for free. She went away and came back and said if you’re under 45 it should be fine. I rang before hand because I have social anxiety disorder and situations like these cause me a great deal of Distress. When I got there, I was told by the pharmacist that it not free. I said I was told it was on the phone. He went to ask the lady I spoke to and she basically denied ever saying it was free. I then asked to speak to her, she took a while to come out and then denied to face what was said in the conversation that we had. I explained to her I would leave a review and turned to leave. As I was walking away she shouted ‘FINE’ behind me as I left. Completely unprofessional, unnecessary and childish conduct from this woman. Hope she takes the time to reflect on her manner

The constant voice announcements are distracting. Lots of customers. Service is slow. Most pharmacists you will interact with will be tense, matter of fact, not kind nor pleasant. You may get an occasional kind soul, but they will soon disappear. !!!Control substances may take up to 8 hours...so use 5he picture of the QR Code I uploaded to get the prescription "activated." Not doing so will cost you dearly in time and aggravation. The drug vault gets closed prior to all customers being cleared from the area. This is clearly a management and policy failure. 🙄
