Avoid - we moved our entire house contents into a unit here, have since gone abroad and are now being told they will access the unit (without our permission) to carry out essential repairs as it’s in their t&c’s to do so. I’ve expressed I have valuable possessions in there and the entire unit would need to be emptied to reach the back wall but this is being completely ignored.
I called to tell this company I wouldn't need the unit after a certain date and called them again to let them know i had vacated the unit and left it clean. Still charged £285.40 for a unit i didn't use as id left three days prior. Called to tell them i couldnt afford to pay some of my bills as they had charged me and they didnt care. Have to wait 5-7 working days now for a refund. Who will pay the charges i incur for late payment of bills? Not the UK Storage company. Disgusting company. I only gave one star as i cant give zero.
Although I am several decades old. This is my 1st time using storage. The company that I am using in Sheffield I consider to be 1st class. Talking to me can prove problematic. I will repeat myself and ask the same questions again, sometimes within minutes. This is due to problems with my memory. The front of house staff manning the phones are at all times extremely pleasant, professional and friendly. Walking around the site posed no problems and I found everything to be exceptionally clean. I am a very impressed client.
From my initial phone call for enquiry, I felt the staff were really helpful and knowledge which helped our move go very smoothly. Every step was explained and choices given to size of storage (4 bed house move). The website was easy to navigate and our belongings were 100% safe, clean and each extra insurance taken was well worth it. Closing the storage after the move was simple and refund given within 24 hrs. Would definitely recommend and use UK Storage again.
Decent storage unit. Easy to use, secure and no one there to bother you. It's creepy though - I went on my own and there was no one there at all ..... I got major Backroom Vibes 😳
