These guys did the unthinkable - they altered me the waist on some very stretchy American Apparel disco shorts! I was able to try on there before altering for a perfect fit which I really appreciated. Very well priced too and ready in just a week. Thank you ⭐️

They do a brilliant job and have repaired/altered things perfectly every time.

I visited a tailor a few weeks ago to have some work trousers altered. The woman working there seemed quite busy and flustered when I approached her. I explained that I needed one pair of trousers lengthened and another shortened. I showed her the alterations I wanted and she quoted me £5 each, which was lower than the previous price. I double-checked that she understood and mentioned the price again, but she seemed to agree. She kindly offered a faster service so I could pick up the trousers the same evening or the following Monday. I chose the latter and picked them up the following Monday. However, when I tried them on at home, I noticed that the alterations had been done incorrectly. The pair I wanted lengthened had been shortened further, and the pair I wanted shortened had actually been lengthened. I wasn’t upset about it, as the woman was busy at the time, but I decided to return the following week to rectify the situation. It was the same woman working there when I returned. I explained the error and clearly stated what I wanted. However, she became extremely rude and blamed me for the mistake. She claimed that I had only asked for them to be hemmed, not for any other alterations. I reiterated that I had been clear and that I had even asked about the price twice. Despite my calm demeanour, she continued to be rude and refused to accept my apology. She informed me that the trousers wouldn’t be ready until the following Wednesday, which was inconvenient for me as I needed them for work. I asked if it could be sooner, but she refused, stating that I was too late. I accepted her decision and left the store. When I returned, the woman had thrown my trousers onto the counter and walked off, leaving all the pins and labels still attached. I removed the pins, left them on the counter, and left the store. Despite the frustration, I remained calm and composed. I wasn’t upset about the incorrect alterations; I just wanted them fixed. However, the staff member’s rudeness was unnecessary and added to my overall experience. I decided to take my business elsewhere in town. I hope future customers have a better experience with the tailor.
