First visit to this cafe and wow… I’d heard their desserts were something else, but I wasn’t ready for this level of deliciousness. I've tried all the independent cafes and bakeries in Sheffield, these folks are in a league of their own! I grabbed an almond croissant and holy moly… it was the biggest, crunchiest, most stuffed almond croissant I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve tried them all over the world! Took a lemon poppy seed cheesecake home (because of course I did) and snagged some coffee beans after tasting their batch brew—it was absolutely next-level. Portions? Generous. Prices? Totally fair. Experience? 10/10, would return yesterday if I could. Next visit, I’m dragging all my friends with me. Bakers, you should be strutting with pride—RESPECT!!!!
I had a great experience at this bakery and cafe! I ordered a cappuccino and a flat white—both were well made with rich, smooth coffee flavor. The cinnamon roll was a highlight—fresh, soft, and perfectly spiced. The outdoor seating area was lovely and made for a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the food. Definitely a spot I’d return to for a cozy coffee break or casual catch-up.
Cute bakery/cafe and I can see why it’s clearly in the top 50 in the UK for 2025. The caneles were exquisite and something I had finally got around to trying, with them usually all bought quickly. Some brilliant goods and a lovely couple running the place. Not the cheapest, but the quality and occasional treat mean there really is not much better! You don’t get ranked in the top 50 for no reason
Absolutely phenomenal. Love their coffee and pastries. Pastries are made from scratch right on site. Great quality sourdough too. Can get busy during weekends and could be hard to find a spot to sit. Overall topnotch.
After visiting fairly regularly for about a year now, I can confidently say Bakers Yard is easily the best bakery in Sheffield and up there with the best in the country. You can tell hard work, plus heart and soul has been poured into creating the cafe and all they produce. The savoury dishes have always been outstanding, as have the baked goods we've had. Prices are good value for the high quality and the owners are lovely too. It's an absolute gem.
