Alara -Bed and Breakfast

It was brilliant, Mehmet was so welcoming and friendly. Went above and beyond to help us, even making up a new room on the ground floor cause my dad struggles with stairs (the stairs are very steep here). Nothing was too much trouble and very reasonably priced. We will definitely next time we visit Sheffield. Thank you for a wonderful stay ❤��

Booked a room for me and Mrs got told £120 for2nights when I phoned up. But when I arrived at reception there was nobody to be seen so booked elsewhere. Got to give alara a big fat zero

Brilliant find and I'm very glad I stayed here. Very easy to commute to/from the city centre by bus or tram with very frequent options. Really nice room and very welcoming and friendly staff. We decided last minute to travel to Sheffield on the Saturday night instead of Sunday as we were attending the speedway in Sheffield. We booked this hotel online on the journey there. As we were travelling via Manchester and wouldn't arrive til late we phoned the hotel to check this was ok and was told it was 24 hour check in. When we arrived we were very warmly greeted by the owner himself. The check in was very easy and staff very friendly. We were asked if we wanted breakfast the next morning and decided for £7 a head for a full English and available continental breakfast that this was great value so we said yes. On entering our room we were delighted by how clean and tidy it was everything in the room was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. The next morning we were warmly greeted by tammy who took our breakfast order, showed us the continental breakfast and cooked our breakfast for us. The whole time she was working she was incredibly pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and we were even given advice on what to see in Sheffield for the few hours we had to spare. We are already planning another booking when we next travel for the speedway. Couldn't recommend this place enough it was a brilliant find.

Don't expect the Hilton. This is a charming little B&B with what you would call character. Room was clean and tidy. Fresh clean bed linen. Fresh clean towels. Tv and Tea and coffee making facilities, what else do you need for a one night stop over. Breakfast bar has enough to get you going in the morning. Staff very friendly and helpful on arrival they even booked us a taxi for the train station for the morning. Would definitely use again if returning to Hillsborough.
