There’s fun for all the family exploring the incredible interactive pavilions of Fire, Water, Earth and Air creamed with over 100 fascinating hands-on activities.

You can have fun firing a giant water cannon, stand next to a fire tornado, board an airship and feel the power of gale force winds, see lightning bolts, explode rock faces and work real JCBs! You can also let off steam in Sci-Tek, one of Europe’s largest outdoor playgrounds, and Aqua-Tek one of the UK’s largest outdoor water play areas open throughout the Summer - top tip - if you're going to get properly stuck in, then expect to get wet and bring some dry clothing.

For anyone interested in the fascinating steel heritage of the region Magna offers the chance to be immersed in the sights, sounds and history of steel making.

Housed within the vast former steel works Steel, Peech & Tozer, the factory once produced over 18 million tonnes of steel and employed 10,000 people, standing in the heart of the booming South Yorkshire steel industry.

Step back into the world of steelworkers and experience Magna’s ‘Big Melt’ – one of the original arc furnaces bought back to life through exciting pyrotechnic, audio and smoke!

Guided Steel Tours led by former steelworkers telling the story of the steel making industry are available at regular intervals most days upon request from reception.
