Free easy parking Welcoming reception area checked in and pointed to skate collection area we were early so no queues. Plenty of arena seating and tables. Vending machine for cold drinks at arena side or there's a cafe/coffee shop up the stairs. Toilets are also on the upper level. £10 skate session with skate hire I thought was reasonably priced.I booked via the everyone active app but I'm sure you can call the centre up and book that way. Modern clean arena.

Nice ice rink, I've been here several times, as my son plays ice hockey. I do find it warm in there when watching the games, it's so nice sitting in a warm ice rink, especially as the majority of them are freezing. I know it's an ice rink, but you do appreciate a warm one, when watching a game.

Ice Sheffield claims to be wheel chair accessible, however, I was left feeling very disappointed about their accessibility. To begin with there is no accessible toilet on the 1st floor, which is where you enter Ice Sheffield, meaning we had use to the ground floor accessible toilet. This wasn’t a big deal, however, they only have 1 small lift which is constantly being used by able people, we had to wait around 10 minutes to get into the lift as a wheel chair user (not completely the fault of the business but not very inclusive). Once we had made it to the ground floor the use the accessible toilets, we noticed that all 3 were locked as well as the 2 accessible showers. With it being a busy Saturday morning we assumed they were all occupied to continue to wait 10 minutes for one to open. At this point, we were losing patience and needed to use a toilet so I went to speak to a staff member at the skate hire booth and informed them that all the accessible toilets were locked and we’ve been waiting a long time. The man told me i’d have to go and speak to reception and ask for the key, reception is on the 1st floor, meaning a wheelchair user would then have to go back into the lift to get to reception and back down again, then repeat to return the key. I questioned the man on this matter which is when he went to find a key from elsewhere. I finally received the key and went to unlock the toilet so we could use them. Afterwards, we went to return the key to a woman at the skate hire and informed her that it’s a huge inconvenience for all disabled toilets to be locked and for them to not even have a sign on the toilets letting users know they need to get a key from a staff member. Had there been a sign we wouldn’t have waited 10 minutes for a toilet to become available. To get to the accessible toilets, you also have to open 2 very heavy doors which isn’t easy for disabled individuals and would recommend they keep them open with door stops. Overall, I’m very disappointed with my experience as a wheelchair user and carer at Ice Sheffield and hope they consider my suggestions to make it more accessible.

It's very expensive for what it is. Young child skates are single bladed like the adults ones and the only ice aides are penguins (no ride on aides like we've seen in other places or double bladed stable skates for younger skaters). We went when there was an ice hockey match on in the other arena so there was no parking and we had to ditch the car on a pavement. There were quite a few skaters doing spins taking up a lot of room but they were generally quite respectful of learners and younger skaters. I don't think we would go again for the high price, and no discounts for families or very young skaters.
