This is my go-to place for bowling as it's the cheapest and one of the best places around. There are arcade machines such as 2p and grabber machines. They also offer golf here which I've experienced and it was really good. Its different to all other mini golfs as there are mini games and different routes involved. The only downside are the queues as I believe they're understaffed but aside from that it's all really good. Would definitely recommend for a cheap game of bowling.
I booked a Laser Tag Party for Sunday 26th October. I had a large group of 13 young boys, ranging from the ages of 9 to 12. I loved the venue, and from.a child's viewpoint it was amazing! Lots of games in the arcades, bowling, laser tag. The kids absolutely loved the venue. In terms of the birthday party, I had a lovely staff member come out and keep me updated on the games, when the food would come etc. The food was on time and prompt. The staff were helpful and in my view did above and beyond. I forgot my birthday candles, they went to get me some, they were prompt with the cake, they filled the squash at regular intervals. I would say it us important to select the time for your party. As I was taking you her children, I deliberately selected a 12 to 2pm slot. This was to avoid a huge crowd, avoid lots of people around the bar and to ensure it was a less hectic time. The food itself was basic, but for the price it was fine. Thank you to the lovely staff who worked hard. The kids had lots of fun.
We visited nearly a month ago for my daughter's birthday party. We checked in on time, we were asked when we would like the pizza to be brought out, so we requested that the pizza was brought out during the Karaoke session. Since these were 16-17 year old children attending and they did not require constant supervision, we did not wait around for the duration of the party. We came back at around 2pm, which was the time their session was supposed to end expecting the cake to be cut at that time, only to find out that my daughter had to eventually ask for the pizza and for it to be brought to them at 1:50pm even though we had asked for it to be brought out during the session. At 2pm I had to ask for the cake to be brought out and for it to be brought out at almost 2:10pm. People were getting picked up shortly after 2pm so we had to rush everything. In the confusion, I even forgot that when I made the booking I had ordered and paid for ice cream for the children, which was never brought out, not even mentioned. When I enquired about the delay with the pizzas with the person at the check-in counter (the only staff in sight I might add), the answer I got was "I'm sorry, I am not the person in charge of your party", which begs the question: Where was the person in charge of the party? They were nowhere to be found since we returned at around 2pm and until we left at around 2:20pm. The overall organisation of the party was a shambles. I did not pay for a birthday party (and not just use of a karaoke room) only to have to keep chasing people or services that I have already paid and agreed for, the Tenpin staff should be keeping on top of what should be brought and when. I emailed Tenpin the day after the party, I received a response the same day telling me they will look into it and get back to me within 7 days. Almost a month later and I have heard nothing, hence this review.
Nice place with arcade games. Came here for bowling and it was good, service and food delivery was on time, and the lady at the till named Emily was very helpful.
Nice venue, really clean, everything works. Arcade was all working as expected, apart from a couple of empty tickets dispensers. More machines would be nice. The mini golf is excellent, best I've played in Sheffield, all the effects work, all the lighting works and it's all in great condition. Hopefully it stays that way. Could do with a second course, or more holes. Only compliant really was the bonus game at the end could do with better instructions.
