It's had a bit of a facelift however the steam room and sauna are still closed their reason is the cost of electricity and gas. The pool is well covered by lifeguards and always clean. Upstairs the gym is well equipped with lots of classes.
Lovely sports centre located petfectly across from hillsborough park. Got an amazing gym with full range of equipment. Venue I'd clean and tidy and well maintained. Plenty of parking and accessible parking for disabled at front of venue. I use the swimming facilities most and there is a great private area for lane swimming and learning to swim. Leisure pool has two big slides suitable for children 1m and above. Slides are nice and gentle and great for young kids and parents to go on with. Small baby pool and pirate ship with toddler slide. Lovely facilities around pool area and fantastic value for money. Would advise booking online in advance as slots quickly go. Swimming is 1hour per session.
This place was amazing, but since COVID and the revamp, prices have gone crazy. Used to cost £12-15 for swimming (2 adults 2 kids). Now it's £25. It seemed over crowded on our last visit, which with the extra costs it makes me feel like they are trying to claw back in the money. It's a shame as we really liked it here.
Currently the best pool for a fun swim.
We have started playing badminton here , we normally use concord but with people playing hockey and basketball they block book five courts at a time making it difficult to get slots especially at suitable times so Hillsborough was another option, the Hillsborough indoor space doesn't seem to be as big but it does seem cleaner.
