Popped by today after a long walk. Didn’t realise it was a bar and didn’t do food. The bar guy was super lovely and said I could buy something from the bakery a few doors down and pop back in with the food to have a coffee. I did that but substituted coffee for wine 🤣. Very welcoming and will definitely go back.

The staff was super chill, we initially went here wanting to get some lunch but their kitchen is being renovated so they suggested we go to the diggins down the street, and that we could bring some food from there back to the bar and eat here. Would definitely visit again

A great authentic experience!! Amazing trendy place!! Across road to Salts Mill. Beautiful clean interior & welcomihg staff. I loved the menu & tantalising dishes on display. A must try when venturing in this picturesque vicinity. We were looked after very well & served with a smile. Our fish was succullent, not over spicy & the salad was freshly prepared. There is a great bar serving a selection of alcoholic drinks & it’s good to know that halal food is served here. A truly enjoyable wonderful afternoon 10/10

Meant to put this review on a few weeks ago! We went in on the Sunday night of the Saltaire festival and the guy that was working there (ahhh we asked his name but didn’t write it down so sadly we have forgotten his name!) was just SO lovely! His customer service skills stood out in a day and age where sadly customer service skills are lacking in many, many establishments. He was friendly and chatty and genuinely looked happy to be there in his place of work. 10/10 We look forward to popping in again.

Don’t Tell Titus, Saltaire – A Bar That’s All Dress, No Guests. Sunday 2 November 2025, 2.30pm. Sprocket (our long-legged lurcher) and ourselves stepped over the threshold of this little bolt-hole expecting the usual Saltaire welcome. Instead: silence. Two staff polishing the same glass in slow motion, zero customers, and the faint echo of our own footsteps. Before we’d even reached the bar, one of the pair looked up and said, “No dogs allowed.” Fair enough—some people are nervous around dogs, we get it. But when the place is emptier than a book with every page torn out, and half of West Yorkshire is out walking a hound, it feels less like a allergy policy and more like a “closed” sign in disguise. We never even made it to the beer menu. Turned on our heels, Sprocket’s ears flat with disappointment, and headed straight to Cultures where the water bowls outnumber the chairs. Look, Titus: we’re not asking for a red carpet and a biscuit buffet. Just a quiet corner where a well-behaved lurcher can curl up while his humans spend £££££ on numerous pints they were ready to buy the second they walked in. Multiply that by every dog-walker in a five-mile radius and you’ve got a full bar instead of an art installation called “Empty Victorian Room.” Four stars for the fleeting glance at the gorgeous interior and polite staff. All stars docked for turning away the only customers who actually showed up. Management takeaway: swap the “No Dogs” rule for a “Well-Behaved Dogs Welcome” sticker. Watch the till—and the place—fill with happy tails by next weekend. Until then, we’ll be the ones across the road, raising a glass to the pubs that know Saltaire runs on four paws and two feet. Cheers, Sprocket says woof. 🐶
