We came here on a Monday evening to beat the start of the darker nights drawing in and enjoyed a fabulous 2 course meal each. It was nice to see the restaurant busy on a Monday evening with only 2 tables free. I chose a starter of figs and ricotta with pistachio and tomatoes on toast (so rich and flavoursome with plenty of pistachio creme) followed by, my favourite, Moules frites. My husband had the steak frites followed by sticky toffee pudding. Delicious food, beautifully presented, flavoursome and well-seasoned! We enjoyed a cruzcampo on draught and a glass of sauvignon blanc with our meal. As a pescetarian, it was great to see a menu full of different. The food was delicious, thank you to the chef! The service was faultless and the waitress (I think her name was Aimee) couldn't have done more for us. We will definitely be returning with friends and family! It's great to have fresh, alternative cuisine on our doorstep.
Lovely Sunday Roast in a Cozy French-Style Restaurant Went on a Sunday for a Sunday roast. It’s a lovely and comfortable place to enjoy authentic French-style cuisine best in Saltaire & Shipley. The meal was absolutely delicious — I ordered the classic French onion soup and the slow-cooked brisket of beef, with an extra side of truffle cauliflower cheese. The staff, especially Anna, were very friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced too! I’ll definitely be coming back again!
If you want that French bistro experience this is the place. Modest authentic menu. No fine dining nonsense just really well cooked French food. If you wanted just moules and frites and a nice big glass of white wine by candlelight this is the place. Or like my other half a generous plate of beautifully soft Beef Bourguignon with lots of herby mash and carrots. Feel very lucky to have this option in Saltaire. We would confidently take friends and family on another occasion. Very nice service too. Perfect to cheer up a wet January evening. Very romantic setting.
Fantastic food. Everyone's dishes were delicious. Just cold by the door, due to it being zero degrees outside.
An excellent meal for four on Friday night. Lamb shank, Beef beurginion, Sausages and Boullabaise all superb. Piping hot and good portions! Served with a smile in a relaxed atmosphere, this little bistro is a gem. Even better than when Eric was at The Terrace down the road.
