Delicious fish and chips , one of the best I have ever had 👍

We've been coming to Doyle's fish shop in Shipley for years and every time it's been lovely but last night my husband ordered a special fish one scallop and a spam fritter brought them home opened them up and the greece that came off it was disgusting they didn't taste the same all you could taste was greece ! The plate was covered too yuk! I has ingestion and stomach pains all night long because of them, don't think I'd come back. The place is lovely and clean and the staff are lovely but the good wasn't.

A lovely place famous for its fish and chips. I really enjoyed eating here—the fish was fresh, light, and far less oily than at other shops.

Cracking value, fresh eat-in fish and chips right in the business end of Shipley. Happy to score 5 stars across the board, unlike my wife who gets minus 5 stars for her felonious act against mushy peas. Animal.

We've been coming to this place for years, and before COVID, have had great food and service. However since the new owner (which I believe to be the son of the previous owner), the quality and service has gone downhill. We went today after a very long time and were thoroughly disappointed. Our fish was freshly cooked, but the chips were not fully done. However we decided to not inform them of this as they were busy with other customers, and it was near closing time. At the end of our dinner, my son went to politely inform the chef (owner) that the chips were undercooked and they had ice within them. The cook and waitress then told us the chips were not frozen when stored, and that they've never used frozen chips. Whether they do, or do not, does not matter. My son simply told them as a way to inform them of the food, for any future customers; he did not go to them and complain. They proceeded to tell us that we had previously left a "nasty comment" on their reviews. This is simply not true, as we used to be a regular customer. We told them of this, and they became aggressive. They kept saying you should have told us earlier (though we only wanted to inform them of the matter) while repeatedly telling us to leave( it was exactly the closing time off 6:30pm) They also kept repeating how no customers have complained before, though this is not true, evident by the reviews on Google. As we were talking to them at the doorway, the waitress shut the door on me causing me to trip over. This is really a shame as the quality and service has not been upheld (especially across to the new owner) As a person looking to eat here, I urge you to look at how the owner responds to previous feedback. It will give you a good picture as to how the service is. To the owner, I look forward to a response.
