Great car park for such a busy train station. Always find spaces even mid afternoon.
Shipley station is a bit of an enjgma! It’s quite spread out so you have to allow plenty of time, particularly if you are travelling to Leeds-one train may go from Platform 1 but the next is Platform 3 and they are nowhere near each other… There’s a lovely waiting room over on platform 3, next to a cafe and this is also where the ticket office is located. There’s lots of information about the various bus routes for the surrounding area.
Free parking. Main section good with wide bays. Overflow section tight and very narrow bays. Car park full by 7.30am on weekdays. You will be fined if you dont park in a bay and just dump your car. You can park on the streets nearby (10minute walk) around Leeds Road area.
Very good station. Very large car park and only 5-10 mins to get to Leeds train station.
It could be so much better, on a weekend you wi get parked during the week when it's school time you have to get there before 730 or you will NOT get a spot
