Saltaire Launderette

The place desperately needs some care and cleaning. The floor was very dirty all around, bin overflowing, every detergent tray in every machine needs a deep clean, and I had to not use three different machines because they smelled strongly of mildew and damp/mould. Years of dust between and around the machines. Only two stars (instead of one) because by some miracle, the three washloads I did came out smelling clean. Probably because I used a strong dose of my own detergent. £12 for 3 x 30 minute washes. Clean the place up or price it more reasonably. Only used in an emergency as my washing machine at home broke and would be against coming again.

Does what it says on the tin... Ok the place does just what it should. Bob in , wash n dry yer clothes, have chat , read a book. Then continue yer day... Or night ..

The place needs a thorough clean and regular cleaning after that as it’s filthy.

Basic launderette, clean with baskets to help transfer wet laundry to the large drum driers. Small medium and large sizes of wash. Reasonable opening hours. Clientele varied but usually friendly but a bit of reserve and decorum. Swing door opens inward over wide internal step down onto main floor, otherwise flat. Benches by the washing machines and plastic patio chairs type seats by the driers. Not sure why the spinners have been taken out or blocked up. Always nice if things are cheaper. There's a service wash on Fridays I haven't used.

Very friendly and helpful staff who can offer change when they're there. Clean and tidy environment. Three different sizes of washing machines. Plenty of driers too. Excellent facility and will be open during lockdown but I suggest phoning to check opening hours.
