Microcity

Brilliant experience at Microcity. Hussain was friendly and knowledgeable, and I felt at ease straight away when I went into the shop. I needed a laptop, and had been struggling to get anywhere myself at home because of all the different options and shops online. I also wasn’t sure whether to go for new or refurbished, and didn’t want to pay more for things my basic use doesn’t need, for example, I don’t game or watch “TV” on my laptop, so didn’t need a really good graphics card. Being able to discuss and talk things through with a real person 1:1 was great, and much less pressure than a busy big retailer, just trying to make a sale, and only offering things new, at least 3 times the price of refurbished!! As Microcity offer both refurbished and new electronics, Hussain established my requirements face to face, and then emailed me back quickly with the different options, with no pressure to decide immediately. I was able to decide really quickly as it turns out anyway, as all his help and information made me fully informed and ready to choose. I’d still not have a laptop if I hadn’t gone to Microcity, as it was all just too overwhelming by myself!! We talked on the phone, with Hussain talking me through the different options, and he answered all my questions clearly, and without confusing jargon. The laptop was ready really quickly, and is exactly what I needed. I couldn't be happier with it, or the service from Hussain from beginning to end. For anyone looking for great customer service and all kinds of electronic equipment and more to match, new or refurbished, Microcity is definitely the place. A genuinely 5-star experience. Highly recommend!

Great little shop, sorted me out with cables a couple of times now, including a harder to find one that wasn't in stock at either Argos or Currys. Reasonable prices too. Give them a phone for stock requests, their website doesn't do them justice.

Very helpful and knowledgeable. Always fixed or upgraded my PC and my wife's imac over the years. I decided to get a new PC this week. They built me a great machine to my spec at an amazing price, They even transferred ll my old data so it was ready to plug in and go. Highly recommended. Great having them on my doorstep too. Three things the lads at Microcity have done for me. They sold me a SATA data cable at a fair price of around £3. This the type of thing Maplin will charge you £9.99 for when it costs pennies to buy from the manufacture. They sold me a power cable at the correct wattage and voltage and connector and charged a fair price. They tested a unique issue I had with a midi controller and an iPad. They found the correct piece of kit I needed - showed it working in front of me - and then charged a fair price. Because of this continued customer service, I will always go to these guys and support their business before other options.
