Brooke's - Gulf

Oh dear! This morning I had to stop here and ask if I could use a toilet. I showed an employee my Macmillan card which explains that, following my recent cancer treatment, I would really need the use of a toilet....she told me that were no toilets for me and she directed me to the nearest toilets, in York. I do not believe that there are no toilets on site. I do really hope that the employee in question never has a medical condition where she does not have an urgent need to use the toilet! For many years I have used this fuel station and spent hundreds of pounds there.....guess what?...NEVER again....YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED IF YOURSEL VES! I hope that a few people will read this review and that they will plan their journey to factor in their fuel/shopping/comfort stops.

24hr service, lovely shop ,petrol, off licence . Down fall no public toilets. There is one outside at the back of shop boarded shut. Husband was caught short and had to go in the bushes. Sitting waiting iI saw a mother and daughter go in and come out of shop soon after and also walk around the back. Why offer 24hr amenities and not have a public toilets. Don't visit if your wanting a long drive relief as you'll be refused

Quite possibly the best selection of fresh food, pastries and treats ive ever seen in a petrol station! Lovely staff and low prices also. Could easily spend an hour browsing in here 😊

What started as a chance discovery has transformed into a must-visit destination for us. We now plan our outings around a stop at Brooke’s, often bringing friends along to share in the experience. It's a lovely reminder of how sometimes, the best finds are where you least expect them—hidden within the unassuming backdrop of a garage station.

An incredible variety of gins on display! Wide range of delicatessen goods, delicious pastries and house furnishing items among many other wares - a real surprise and treat to find such a diverse array of merchandise at a petrol filling station! Friendly and helpful staff a bonus! Definitely worth several more visits!
