The Hive Community Centre

First time visiting this venue recently and it's great for birthday parties! I was there doing a join 6th with a Full-On Disco. The photo isn't great but the room could be darkened to get better effect with the lights, but not darkened enough for a Neon Glow party unfortunately. Light and airy space with plug sockets right around and plenty of chairs and tables for flexibility of use. Pros: Wheelchair accessible (I was able to use my trolly to help move equipment to and from my car. Decent size car park too and easy to find. Cons: Small-ish kitchen so you wouldn't want too many people in there, and you'd need to work around the frequently used furniture in the room such as round tables, and a pool table you might not use (but that's what happens with well loved spaces used for lots of community clubs!)

A wide variety of community clubs and events including baby and toddler groups, community cafés, fireworks, film afternoons, a second hand uniform shop, and available to hire privately for parties. Currently also has midwife and health visitor services based on location

Had my son's Nerf party here and it's such a great venue! Super friendly team, really helpful, great communication - clean and well equipped. Made hosting the party a breeze! Thank you to Charlotte for all your help organising :)

Went to the hive for the fireworks event, good fire show, and food/drinks were available at a decent price, good event space for the village

Held my daughter's 3rd birthday party here and loved it. Spacious enough for 12 kids and an indoor bouncy castle + ride on toys and a play doh table. Loved all the little tables and chairs for the party tea they had and the kitchen facilities were good. Large freezer meant everyone got to have an icecream including all the adults. Good value venue.
