Not a great welcome.. never mind an irish one! .. as promoted... and I am from Ireland! Called in on Sunday evening at 8.20 pm for one drink and the response from bartender on asking for a drink was "I have just shut everything down" . I did check if the bar was open til 9 and she confirmed it was... customer service on this occasion was really poor. There were customers with drinks in the bar.... so we left. 28 years in England and I have never experienced such a dire response to a request for a drink
What a fabulous pub ,the proprietor and staff and I hasten to add the patrons are absolutely wonderful.i have never been in my 70 years in such a friendly pub . Paul the proprietor is so friendly and welcoming..do not miss the opportunity to sample the genuine welcome .Ade, Esther and Sally.

It's a cozy place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff which will come into its own in summer with all the homade outdoor seating some of which is next to a little stream it's definitely worth a try and with decent prices another try after that haha
