**Edit - no I don’t want to contact you to discuss. If your practise cared for patients it would be tangible on arrival… As it was at Airedale And as it was at Crosshills. ** I don’t see the doctors that often, but I’m now in my fourth month suffering from extreme pain in my joints. (Came on overnight for perspective) Since starting to suffer I have visited Silsden practise twice, and on neither occasion have I felt that they are interested in getting to the bottom of my problem in any hurry, they are the champions at reappointments. With just two suggestions so far ‘I think you have fallen and forgotten’ to ‘maybe it didn’t come on overnight and you’ve forgotten’ both of which are idiotic suggestions. To book each appt takes an age, and even though on each occasion I have requested GP assistance, they seem determined to take you through let see what the ‘physio’ guy says route first. Apparently this ‘temp flare up’ should be not worried about. But just in case I have been told to book in for blood tests via a link that initially didn’t work, and X-rays (Airedale arranged this a speed for me, which is fabulous) and all of this is just for my hands - my leg/ankle/knee/hip pain/stiffness even though I’ve tried to discuss keeps getting brushed to one side, till the results are in for my hands. And the face of this practise - are receptionists who prefer to spend time catching up with friends/chat than care for the people stood in front of them. The worst left the receptionist area. Only to return to her heater rather than the growing number of patients forcing them to move to her rather than where they had previously stood like lemons for what felt like over ten mins. I’ve always wondered why A&E is busier in general putting undue pressure on our hospitals, if this is a true example of the service we are all receiving from local practises then they will be one of the main causes.
My 87 year old dad filled in the online form this morning and received a phone call from Dr Home within 15 minutes! Wow! Dad was so pleased with the advice received and kind nature of the Doctor! Thanks you for your ongoing care!
Shocking service, I have been requesting help for 2 years regarding medication, no support, put in "the form" received a call saying an immediate telephone call with G.P.... excellent...... Until I was told it was a G.P. whom I had spoken to 18 months ago with no support whatsoever, then. I pointed out useless talking to that G.P., I had simply requested a change to medication. Need doing today, So, I rang the surgery. To inform them that even though I had rejected to speak to the G.P. in question. I would still require, meds changed. On telephoning at 4-45pm was told emergency calls only. Modality and "Klinik" is the death of this surgery, there are some excellent G.P's. stuck in this travesty. It is a business. Money making. I worked for the N.H.S. for 12 years but now paying private for basic care
Put a form in to see a GP today, someone called me within 20 minutes. Saw the GP who was excellent, friendly and thorough. Superb service from a great team who are working under difficult, under resourced circumstances. Thank you Silsden 🙌
My 1st experience was a shambles trying to get a repeat prescription signed off as twice they had no record of repeat request being made even though the 2nd request was made by the receptionist at the desk whilst I was there. Resulted in 2 weeks over due medication.
