Richmond, a Georgian market town with it's Norman castle and the country's oldest functioning Georgian theatre is at the lower end of Swaledale with it's splendid scenery, riverside and hill walks.

There's plenty to do, see, eat and drink in Richmond, with shops, cafes and pubs set around the cobbled Georgian market square.

The house is a barn conversion which provides guest accommodation in the west wing of the courtyard garden with ample parking in our grounds. Each of the four guest rooms are at ground level with patios and individual access, so you can come and go as you please. In addition there is a 1 acre field garden where you can relax and which is also home to our free range hens.

All rooms are centrally heated with en-suite facillities of shower, wc and wash basin. There is a flat screen tv and free wifi access.

We want to meet guests needs with respect to the breakfast menu and time (so if you want a lie in, you've got it).

Help yourselves to cereal, juices and fruit followed by a traditional breakfast including our free range eggs, and local butcher's dry cured bacon and sausage.

If you prefer something lighter, try the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.
