It helps that it was a gorgeous spring day, but strolling around here at lunchtime whilst the sun was beaming and the birds were chirping was wonderful. Only saw two other people here, which means if you are quiet you can get a bit more sighting on the wildlife. There was several raptors soaring overhead which made it amazing. I concur with previous comments about the road being lumpy and bumpy...but just take your time and you will be fine...after all...you are in the countryside...there is no need to rush anyway!!!

Skerne wetlands is a tranquil nature reserve. There is a notice at the entrance with the footpaths marked on the map. There is a small car park. The road to the wetlands is very rough and potholed. Top hill, low, and north cave wetlands are better and have decent facilities.

Excellent site. Now on of my favourite places to visit. So much to see, and so well managed.
