Went in for some lunch while having a wonder around the town. Does what it says on the tin type of venue. Great for me as always dogs. Service perfectly fine and waiting staff polite. Food as expected for puv food served quick and hot. Prices reasonable. All in all a nice visit and would definitely return.
We didn’t eat here but stopped in for a nice drink. Very classic English pub, and the dogs were able to come with us too which was great!
Great traditional pub with a good selection of drinks, had a Sunday roast which was lovely, however had to wait nearly an hour to get our food, due to it being very busy due to Christmas markets being on and everyone coming out of the rain. Ordered two turkey roast dinners and got one turkey and one roast beef both of which where luke warm tried to complain but no one was around to complain to. Would of been better if you could of Ordered half an hour earlier instead of 12:00 noon under the circumstances of the Christmas markets then they wouldn't of been a backlog of orders or getting the wrong orders.
The pub as a building is cute. Food was very very basic, luke warm if lucky. We ordered and one item was cold. Took an hour to get basic food such as jacket potato, wedges and a burger. Ended up with a refund because when it eventually turned up, it was cold. Other people left when told about the wait on food and others also seemed to be getting refunds. Won't return until other reviews start to show an improvement
Great local countryside pub with typical pub food menu, kids menu, local beers and ales as well as showing sports on tv. Good portion sizes, parking immediately outside and vast space available inside the venue as well as some garden spaces (partially covered). Visited on Easter Saturday.
