Called in for something to eat. The older lady was very abrupt and argumentative. My partner only asked her how long our food was going to be as we had waited a while. She became very angry and said if you don't like it we should leave so obviously we did. The 2 young waitresses were lovely and polite but looked frightened of her 😡. The older lady had also had a go at another couple sat near us. Seems a shame that she is awful with customers because the food looked nice and everything else was nice. If she doesn't like her job then she is the one who should leave. I feel sorry for the owner as she will probably loose a lot of customers through her.
Lovely little cafe that we try to get to whenever we visit Skipton. Food is delicious and freshly cooked. Staff are friendly, and the prices are really good. £9.95 for a full English breakfast with toast! (And a large serving). All locally sourced. Can't go wrong. See you again!
A lovely little tea room/cafe serving great food and coffee. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They were lovely with my little boy. There is a play area downstairs and room to change a baby. The toasties are recommended. A handy place to grab some food before/after a canal boat trip as it is just opposite
Had a cheese and ham toasty which came with vegetable crisps, salad and coleslaw and finished off with carrot cake and a gingerbread coffee. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were large. Atmosphere friendly and cosy and the price very reasonable. Will definitely make this a regular place to visit when out in Skipton 😊
The older lady in charge (Janet?) was so rude and abrupt that we felt on edge the whole time. She barked at us to sit down. My partner asked for a sausage melt (sausage sandwich with cheese and some chutney) - the young waitress was kind and polite, but Janet shouted as she walked past, "we're not serving off the lunch menu until 11:30!". She barked orders at the young waitresses. She snapped at the customers on the table next to us, so much so that we shared a snigger at her behaviour. Customers are an inconvenience to her. Save your money and spend it elsewhere - plenty of other cafes to choose from.
