Recently moved to Skipton. I own a customer facing business. Twice I've been in, different staff each time. Miserable! No interaction to my greeting, trying to engage as I did. Very expensive IPA canned beer Basic service is a non negotiable and is free. Unfortunately, the Wine Rack don't recognise the customer. Maybe a nice greeting, offering advice, suggestions on products the customer is seeking. I've been twice and won't go again. A perfect example of how not to run a business

Really good range, especially of craft beers and German lager and wheat beers. Good selection of wines, I'd say generally overpriced but offers are quite good so if you aren't going for something specific it helps. I once reviewed this place stating the service as "wretched" and that I begrudgingly go because of the extensive selection. I'm revising this to say that now it's hit and miss depending on who's working. I've noticed some new staff this year that aren't quite as miserable!

Drove to Skipton especially to purchase a birthday present. Paid for parking and walked down at 1135am to be told there closed for a delivery. 2 customers passed me out of the shop with purchases. Really not happy, what a waste of time and money. They need to alter trading times or have another member of staff to cover a delivery, not happy.

Surprisingly decent selection of Belgian beers - and glasses, which not many places stock these days - all at reasonable prices. A lot of shops that bother to stock Belgian beers beyond the usual (Duvel, Leffe, etc) charge through the nose for them. This place doesn't. They also stock a fair selection of Samuel Smiths beers too, which - considering it's a fairly well-known UK brewery and the beers are very good - not many places do. Was surprised when the card transaction appeared under the name 'Bargain Booze'. This place is way better stocked than any Bargain Booze I've ever been in. :D

I walked in just after opening, looking for a 60th birthday present, no one asked if I needed any help, when I asked if the stocked a particular brand they said no and that they had never heard of it. Didn't offer any alternatives or help, I went to a local competitor and bought a £100 bottle of champagne instead because the service was actually decent.
