Lovely free (donations accepted) museum in Skipton. It looks really modern now to how it looked years ago when I last went. My nieces enjoyed the interactive displays and the free quiz sheets as you enter (different ones for different ages). There's an exhibit upstairs that changes every so often. There's some old boundary type stones outside the museum, and a museum phone box out front of the town hall that's worth a look. There's also a gift shop too. Go visit and have a wander round if you're in Skipton!
very interesting museum very close to the castle. more interesting than the castle itself 😅 free entry. my children did not want to leave it so much they liked it there. many interesting exhibits.
Great little museum with free entry. Visited here after the castle and was not disappointed. Lots of different displays covering a variety of topics, interactive displays for children (or adults!) and well laid out. Enjoyed this just as much as the castle, bonus that it was free.
What a super little museum. A lot packed into a small space. It was really interesting and I enjoyed my visit very much. The staff were lovely
I love these wee museums that celebrate their locality and this didn’t disappoint - from flora, fauna and archaeology to industry and sporting achievements, this is a ram-packed compact museum that leaves the visitor impressed on many levels. The gift shop offers many interesting items relevant to the local area. A great way to spend 30-45 minutes
