The Bear Inn

For my Wife's, and 11yrs sons Birthdays, they wanted to try some new dishes at The Bear Inn. Yet again, Chef Jamie did not disappoint, every time it is spot on. He and the service staff are very attentive, on learning of our special meal, Jamie took the time to come see us and gave my wife and son, free desserts. Everybody in the local area, give it a try, lovely pub grub, especially the Steak and Ale pie. Thank you to all staff at The Bear, for another lovely meal. 👍👌

Held a surprise party for my husband in the back room here. Jamie the chef went above and beyond to ensure all the arrangements and organising went smoothly. The food we chose was not off the standard buffet menu but Jamie was happy to arrange this and a price was agreed. It was delicious and plentiful and Jamie kept replenishing it as and when required. Nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely polite and communicative. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant food, even better service! Called in for our evening meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. Something for everyone after you've eaten. Seats by the fire, live sports, pool and darts. Since we'd enjoyed our evening meal we came back for our breakfast and were not disappointed. On both occasions, all of the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. If you're in the area, don't miss out!

These guys looked after me from start to finish. I wanted some sort of hot sauce with the wings and prawns I ordered... and the chef sorted me out with something special hot sauce. I like spicy food and they were creative. The bar staff were super friendly too and they had some of my favourite real Ales. Plus some great whisky on the top shelf. Result! There was football and a great atmosphere with a live singer. Some great options for sport. Back of the net. This place delivered beyond all expectations.

I called this morning to make a late booking for a table of seven, and I’m so glad they managed to squeeze us in! The Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious and great value for money. The customer service was fantastic throughout. A special mention to the young man behind the bar—he was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
