Did a ghost hunt here with the team of Most Haunted. Excellently led & the team were amazing. The most AMAZING location, full of history that you can almost hear in the walls, the stone, the ground. We had a few things happen. I would love to redo this location. My girlfriend & I loved it! Thank you to the owners & Most Haunted!

We stayed at Holroyd Hall from 29 December to 5 January. 8 Adults and 4 Children aged 11 -14. It’s a great place to celebrate special occasions with a large group of family members or friends and we had a truly enjoyable and memorable time. The house is very large with plenty of rooms to spread out or to get together for celebrating and meals. The kitchen is well equipped with nearly everything we needed to prepare and cook meals or buffets. Large double oven Rangemaster cooker, microwave and large slow cooker, because we were self-catering, we took an air fryer. The bedrooms are large, and the beds were very comfortable. Before going we were a little concerned that the house might have been cold due to its size especially during our winter stay. However, it was lovely and warm, we even had to turn some of the radiators in bedrooms down. The house is of course very old and full of charm and character, so this does show in some of the décor but in general it was clean and tidy and surprisingly cosy. There is Wi-Fi but due to the size of the house it wasn’t the best and the signal was slow and would drop of especially when a lot of people were trying to use it. Nice location for country walks, short dive to supermarkets and local shops,15 min stroll to the nearest pub.

Words cannot express the wonderful energy and uniqueness of Hodroyd Hall, not only of the place itself but also the owners. I recently held my well-being yoga retreat here and what an absolute delight it was, from arriving to reluctantly leaving. We had full downstairs exclusivity of this impressive hall, and we all felt so at home. I will certainly be returning again, I can’t express how beautiful this place is, from the eye catching interiors to the exterior delights of the gardens. I would highly recommend it.

What an amazing and atmospheric place this is! From the outside it’s the epitome of a manor house and on walking through the front doors, it certainly doesn’t disappoint. I was blown away by the spacious hall with its grand staircase and intricate details throughout each room. On our initial exploration of Hodroyd, as each new door opened, all you could hear from our group were the oohs and ahhs and wows! My en-suite bedroom, known as the Bridal Suite, was enormous and luxurious, as was the oh so comfy bed and bedding. At least for a few days, we all felt like we were Lords of the manor and would certainly recommend this venue for a stay with ‘a difference’.
