Great little boozer, fast becoming my regular haunt in Sowerby Bridge. A fine selection of draught, cask and bottles. Reasonably priced with a great mix of characters both behind and in front of the bar. Dog friendly, excellent outdoor headed seating. Slight apprehension in leaving such a good review for fear of it becoming too popular!
First visit to Sowerby Bridge in over 10 years. Do not remember this pub so possibly a first visit for both Madge and me. A super pub just across the footbridge from the railway station. Great real ale selection. I had the 4% Lune Brew Origin blonde. Excellent. One of 5 available. Cosy venue. Side beer patio plus smoking area, all overlooking the river. Sadly a sunny morning has gone grey this late August Tuesday. Super staff. Top pub. Pint and a Coke exactly Β£5. Dog friendly.
This is a great traditional but quirky pub. Friendly and efficient staff. Dogs welcome, in fact they are actively encouraged! Two small dogs reside here. Only bug bear is that my gin wasn't served in a gin glass which I don't like. Willing to pay a deposit if they keep getting stolen! Otherwise keep up the good work π
We didn't eat here, as we were just walking through but what a great find! We only live in Halifax and we had never been to the Turks Head before and thought we would pop in for a couple of beers, we both absolutely loved it, great staff, good beers and a very relaxed atmosphere, great prices and dog friendly too! What's not to like. We will certainly be going back π»π
Great pub, good beers, friendly, warm and comfortable.
