It’s a great spot to come together for a stir-fry. This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint. The menu takes a moment to get your head around, but the flexibility is fantastic. There’s plenty of seating and a lovely view over the canal. The chefs are great, and if you stack your bowl right you can be cheeky with the portions. Pro tip: put the noodles on last, on top of the veg.
This place is lovely for a family meal. It has a home away from home feel to it. The restaurant serves Mongolian food. You choose your vegetables, noodles and protein and then head towards the chefs who cook it to your liking. The stir fry is unlimited so you can keep going back. They also have other items on the menu such as corn fritters, prawn toast and salt and pepper chips to name a few. The food was cooked really well and because the foods cooked right infront of you it arrives to your table piping hot which I liked.
I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. Temujin has to be one of the best restaurants in Yorkshire—a true hidden gem in Calderdale. The concept of an all-you-can-eat Mongolian stir fry, where you choose everything yourself, is brilliant. My family and even friends from York (over an hour away!) happily make the journey just to dine here. There’s such an impressive variety to choose from—fresh vegetables, noodles, meats, vegetarian substitutes, tofu, and seafood. You then customise everything: how it’s cooked, the sauce, oil, and any extras. The chefs stir-fry your creation and bring it straight to your table. They also offer takeaway boxes at a really reasonable price, which is such a bonus. To top it all off, the location is beautiful, overlooking the canal and Wainhouse Tower.
An absolute gem of an establishment. Offering amazing views of the canal. We arrived at opening time on a Sunday and had the whole place to ourselves for most of our meal (which was perfect for us). We partook in the unlimited stir fry for £23.50 p/p and it was worth the money, but there is also a main menu available. Getting to create your own combinations of oils, sauces and garnishes was fun (recommendations also provided), the ingredients were fresh and offered a fantastic selection of vegetables, meat and fish. The staff members were friendly and very accommodating. It was a great Sunday lunch and I will be returning many, many more times.
Have eaten Temujin on road shows; first time at the restaurant. Little or no explanation of how it works on arrival. A splash of pens and scorecards across the table. Tiny plates used to gather your selected ingredients. A little concerned that meat is left out in the open (in the fridge). None of us had dodgy tummy’s the next day, so that is reassuring. I wonder what it’s like on a hot day. The food was lovely 🥰 and the recommend menus and sauces were very helpful. Coke and Lemonade is flat!! No gas. Staff are very friendly and polite. No atmosphere and dodgy wall displays. We ordered x2 endless meals - which were not needed. Possibly overspend on our part. Opt for this if you are very hungry! The rice and large prawn 🦐 crackers are a good addition. All in all, I would go again.
