Beautiful place to visit with the kids and dogs. The park at the bottom is wonderful for the kids. It's clean and very tidy. We visit most weekday evenings, the kids and dogs love it. So much open space for our dogs to let loose and have a real good run about. It's near perfect 👌
(July 2025) such a strange decision from the council to remove the few litter bins and dog poo bins from the park. (July 2022) My favourite 'thinking spot' since I moved here from London. You can do a lovely 20-minute lap of the field with your dog. Sometimes you may come across the locals playing rugby or cricket (you can watch the latter from the nearby pub’s outdoor garden). The community has a beautiful set of allotments and fruit trees along the border. There is compost and wood chippings too. The children’s playground is okay, but it really needs to council to spend some cash and give it a revamp. I also used the local handyman (recommended) from the park’s advertising board. You can also pop in to the cemetery which is lovely for personal reflection and amazing views over Sowerby…
Lovely place for the kids and dogs! Brilliant sized field with plenty of friendly dogs which is great for our 2 spaniels to play with. Park is tidy and my youngest loves it.
