⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our family of four visited The Crown and Anchor, and I can honestly say it was the best dining experience we’ve had in a very long time. From the moment we walked through the door, the hospitality was warm, genuine, and absolutely faultless. We felt welcomed and looked after throughout the entire evening, which made the experience all the more special. The food itself was simply outstanding. Every dish was cooked to perfection—packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a place where everyone around the table is equally delighted, but The Crown and Anchor delivered just that. From starters through to dessert, each course exceeded our expectations. What really stood out was the attention to detail, both in the food and in the service. The staff struck the perfect balance between being attentive and allowing us to relax and enjoy our meal as a family. It created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the evening feel effortless and memorable. We left not only full but genuinely happy, already talking about when we can come back. If you’re looking for exceptional food, flawless hospitality, and a true family-friendly atmosphere, The Crown and Anchor is second to none. Highly recommended!
We passed on the way into Thirsk to go for food. We strolled around the town but nothing stood out so went back. So glad we did!! Amazing pub! The food was 10/10. Staff were lovely. Perfect!!
Had an absolutely tremendous Sunday lunch here last week. Were a slightly awkward group of vegans, veggies and coeliacs but everyone had a proper good roast dinner, that was genuinely delicious and we all even had a Yorkshire pudding! Absolute top marks for this place, the chef is killing it. Which is why it’s always fully booked. Ace
Came for tea with my daughter and the food was amazing, all home made. Service was also excellent with a very nice atmosphere. Also offers a variety of vegan food. I got salmon which was perfectly cooked and my daughter got chicken and CHORIZO pie which tasted amazing! We also got puddings which are all home made, they tasted unreal!
Went for a meal last night with Family and Friends. It was a very busy Friday night but the service and food was spot on. One of the best Christmas meals out I’ve ever had.
