Royal Mail Delivery Office

I am shocked to read some of the poor reviews about the thirsk post service ,i am in the south kilvington area and our postman Dave is first class !! He never lets us down and if he ever left would be sorely missed by many people !! I call him 5***** Dave .....

Terrible service, tracking shows the parcel has been delivered with a picture of a squiggle as a signature, but it has not been delivered to us, it has not been delivered to any of our neighbours as ive knocked on their doors, and no card put through our letter box to say where it is. Cant get hold of anyone at royal mail, cant get hold of anyone at the sorting office as it closed at 10am. This is a 24hr tracked special delivery item that they have not delivered. We constantly get mail for addresses at the other side of town with completely different post code and house numbers, we have had people knock on our door with post for our address thats been delivered to addresses elsewhere in town. We have had parcels thrown over our gate for other people at addresses half a mile away. Royal mail are getting worse that evri for deliveries now. Absolutely useless

This place is open for two hours a day during the week at possibly the most inconvenient time of day, what a joke. Confining my package go this purgatory after making zero effort on one occasion to deliver it when people were clearly in actually felt kind of insulting. But, that seemed like nothing compared to how insulted one of the posties going into the depot was when I very politely asked if he could do me a solid and grab my package from inside. He seemed offended, borderline outraged that he was being asked to retrieve an item of post during his working day as….a postman. Then, with a semi-smirk and clearly expecting a nice get out he said he’d need to see some ID, but alas I had it with me so he did actually have to do his job that day, at least for around a minute, tough deal bro.

Like the other person has said. They are only open for two hours a day and at the most inconvenient time of the day, I mean, even if I'm working locally, I wouldn't be able to collect my mail with the opening hours they have, it ridiculous. I've been waiting for a parcel for nine days now that should of been 48 tracked. Its sitting in their sorting office now for 3 days. With no sign of when I'm going to actually receive it.

Trying to actually talk to a real person at Royal Mail is like finding Rocking Horse,xxxx , all i want to do is locate a bleedin parcel, NEVER have i found anything more annoying.
