About Long Acre Lodge
Description
A warm welcome awaits you at Long Acre Lodge in the grounds of Long Acre, a smallholding keeping rescue birds of prey, rare breed poultry, pheasants and peacocks. Guests can enjoy sitting or strolling in our fields enjoying the peace of the countryside with the convenience of a ten minute stroll into the lovely town of Thirsk.
Thirsk is a friendly town, steeped in history and more recently famous for James Herriot where he lived and worked, and the veterinary practice is now a superb museum.
We live in the heart of the Vale of York, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors; ideally located for touring. Castles, stately homes, gardens, farm parks, railway museums - the list is endless.
Yorkshire is a walkers paradise and The Lodge is just the place to relax in after a busy day.
