Friendly staff. A bit of a pilgrimage to come here after a childhood watching the original TV show and reading the books. Went with my 11 year old who had a passing relationship with James Herriot and we both loved it. Would love to go again. Takes a couple of hours and then you can see some of Thirsk which is a beautiful little town.
