Positives - The lady owner did warn me when I telephoned to book that the greens were poor. - The lad in the shop was very polite helpful, informative and a credit to the course. I had read reviews so was not expecting the best. The fairways were ok, mainly mown by robot mowers seen about and certainly playable. Once off the fairways it again was kept but scruffy. The greens as others have pictured etc are awful and it is was just sad to see. I was one of only two people playing the course 10.30 am weekday in August. There is a well stocked shop, club house bar very dated and dusty cobwebs in toilets is just laziness. If you wish for a quiet round of golf in peaceful surroundings and accept the above all ok. I wish them well but appreciate it must be hard when it is so quiet.

Absolutely horrid course. We arrived at 4 p.m. to find the clubhouse shut and the pro shop shut — we couldn’t even get a scorecard. This doesn’t begin to cover how poorly the course is maintained. The so-called fairways are no better than rough, and the so-called greens are in terrible condition, making for an unpleasant playing experience from start to finish. I’ve never lost so many balls in my life.

I thought I’d read through the reviews on this course—it’s getting worse, everyone. Just look on Google Maps at other courses: their greens are green, but yours are beige. Yes, the robot mowers were out, ready to make things worse in the height of summer. The flags honestly made me laugh—they summed up just how little the owners seem to care about running this golf course properly.

Played a couple of days ago. This course, if it was maintained has the potential to be a real challenge and rewarding course. So it’s a shame to see how bad it has become. Tee boxes were like the rough. The fairways grass was way too long to be classed as a fairway. The greens were absolutely awful. I understand the weather hasn’t helped but they could do with a water. There are many courses in much better shape that’s cost a lot less to play.

Worst course I have played! Greens are brown and full of cracks, bunkers are full of weeds, avoid at all costs.
