Sproxton Hall Cottages

This year we decided to come back to North Yorkshire for a short break and stayed at Sproxton Hall Cottages and why not. Lovely cottages updated since we last came. Lovely views and dog friendly. Dave and Helen very welcoming. Helmsley is just down the road. Riveaulx Abbey, Castle Howard a short distance away. What more could you ask for. Would highly recommend.

Amazing time in Sproxton Hall. We brought our collie and it was truly dog friendly with a dog paddock at the front for off lead playtime. The owners were friendly and chatty and gave us tips on where to walk or go to eat. We visited nearby Helmsley for food and had a very enjoyable stay! We look forward to going back!

18 of us (including children) booked for a friend's wedding back in April. It worked really well with the separate properties but felt like we were all together. Myself and wife stayed again beginning of December with our 2 dogs. It's a perfect place to relax and have as a base for a few days whilst we visit our friends. Very clean and comfortable.

Just returned home after 4 fabulous days. What can I say but we loved it. Dave is an excellent host, he was always around somewhere to help out or just have a chat. Felt like we'd known him for years. We stayed in Bilsdale and Riccall cottages both were excellent. Very clean, comfortable and dog friendly. Large paddock for the dogs to run around in. Slept well as beds were very comfy. Set in beautiful countryside, good walks on the doorstep. We will certainly be booking again! Thank you Dave and Helen.

We took a much-needed staycation in these lovely cottages. The cottages are in a beautiful countryside setting, yet you're only 5 minutes from Helmsley which is a perfect Yorkshire town. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, and it was a small thing, but all of the linen smelled so lovely and fresh! It's perfect if you want to bring your dogs: our dog absolutely loved the paddock. There can be a bit of livestock around, so bear that in mind if you have a bit of a reactive dog. Dave was really friendly and helpful. We really recommend this spot.
