I wish all the places I stayed at could be like this. I'd say it's more a superior 3 star than a bog-standard 3 star venue. Tina was so warm and welcoming; showed me around (rug covered stone floored living room with a sofa, dining table, tourist information leaflets and breakfast cereals laid out. The downstairs bathroom included a bath, shower, toilet and sink, with plenty of toiletries and towels to use. Upstairs to the massive bedroom. Large bed (a single and a sleeper chair) were available as well as books and guides. a mini fridge, a kettle and teas and coffee were also available in the room. After a lovely night's sleep, I enjoyed a delicious vegan breakfast, cooked fresh with beans, mushrooms, vegan sausage, toast, and tomatoes. I struggled to finish it! I'd go back in a heartbeat and really hope my daughter decides to do her silver DofE so I can treat myself to another stay at this marvellous place.

Had a fantastic night's stay here. Came after a 19 mile hike, so to find Tina so hospitable, the room just amazing and a hot bath to soak in was absolute bliss. Tina called Cecilia's pizzeria for us to ensure we got something to eat (fully recommend the pizzas btw). Comfy bed, a great night's sleep and an amazing breakfast. Fabulous stay, thank you so much Tina.

We have been to Sweetbriar, many times over the years and we love it. It is nice to have a separate part of the house to ourselves. What other B and B gives you, your own lounge and bathroom with bedroom above? Colin and Tina are lovely people. It is dog friendly. The breakfast is excellent . Plenty of nice walks all around. The village is small and perfect for a quiet retreat in North Yorkshire . Highly recommended

Our family stayed over the weekend and had a marvelous time! From the moment we drove up in our camper through the rainbow gate, we had good feelings about the place. Sweetbriar is perfectly situated amidst the lush, stunning landscape of the Dales, and Colin (and his charming dog, Harry) were as welcoming of hosts as one could wish for. Gracious, helpful, and a fantastic chef as well! Highly recommended for those who enjoy a rustic, relaxing atmosphere, good people & chill vibes. Will definitely be visiting again. x

We stayed in the cottage and it was absolutely perfect for us! It was lovely inside and out. Tina and Colin made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, and prepared us one of the best breakfasts we've ever had! Highly recommend a stay at Sweetbriar Cottage. We will be back I'm sure!
