Old Pasture Park

Just came back from a 2 night stay with my partner. wonderful Shepard’s hut great views, very home from home feeling. Will be returning when ever I come back to York! Free safe parking quiet lovely short bus or taxi to York center!

We stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas, the site is perfect. Set on a working farm in a beautiful part of York. Pitches are large, level and fully serviced. Very well maintained site with everything we needed. We will definately come back, very inpressed. Thank you all concerned for your obvious hard work at the site, you should be proud of what you have created here.

A great find, what a lovely little site, if you're looking for somewhere nice and quiet, this is the perfect place. Only a short drive to York. Very peaceful in a lovely setting, the owners were friendly but left us to it. Great little site, We'll definitely be going back there.

This review is for staying on the campsite in our own caravan Nov 2024. Firstly very neat and tidy site upon arrival not your usual working farm set up campsite. Pitches very flat and have own water and grey waste points and bins and chemical waste just by the edge of the camping area. Very good for York about 20 mins drive around 7 miles away. Good 5G and 4G phone signal on EE network. Towing from the A1 is a little tight in some areas as we have a 8 foot wide 28 foot twin axle caravan but no means a problem for a experienced caravanner. Just behind the caravan pitch was a neat and tidy horse field and a cow shed which was nice. Owners greeted well on arrival and showed us where to go and left us to pick our own pitch. Please note there is no toilet block but we knew this before but as we always use our facilities was not a issue. Adult only no noise from children !! Very peaceful and very dark at night away from light pollution so bring a torch. Nice dog walk around the lake and peaceful. Would recommend 100% and definitely would go again, thanks for letting us stay Wayne and Denise and Bella the Frenchie.

Just spent two wonderful nights in the Sweet Pea Shepards hut as a birthday treat with my wife, The hut was very clean, warm and had everything you could ask for, as well as the facilities advertised there was tea coffee sugar, washing up liquid, milk in the fridge and even a box of Maltesers as a welcome gift, Sam was very pleasant and helpfull, he transported our cases in a trolley to the hut as it is a short walk around the lake to get to the huts, It would be nice to return in the summer to sit outside by the lake and appreciate the surroundings. There is also a small caravan touring park on the farm that seems very quiet and peaceful that we will hopefully visit in the future. The location is good for York designer outlet just a 5 minute drive away or York centre a 10/15 minute drive away. There is a bus stop not too far from the entrance too. All in all a great weekend, highly recommended
